Introducing: Our New Core Range
Over the last 4 years that Glen Affric has been brewing, we’ve experienced a lot of change and growth in that short time. From our humble beginnings of brewing 500L batches by myself once every week, to brewing 30,000L+ per week and employing 20+ people in Team Affric, many things have changed for the better. But the one thing that has stayed consistent throughout all that time is our core beers.
After brewing over 100 different beers, we felt that it was time to take a step back and double down on the beers we truly love and kick off 2021 with a refreshed core range:
OUR CORE RANGE:
I Can’t Believe it’s NOT-Ella - Chocolate & Hazelnut Porter, 5.2% Vol
Forres Haze - NE IPA, 6.5% Vol
Tart An Typhoon - Passion Fruit & Mango Sour, 4.6% Vol
Whilst many of these beers will be familiar to our loyal customers, one thing that is certainly new is our face-lifted labels! When designing what our core range would be, we decided to use that opportunity to rework our visual identity.
We’ve become known over the last few years for using photographs on our labels, as apposed to the more industry standard approach of using illustrations. It’s something we’ve always felt makes us stand out and we wanted to embrace that wholeheartedly going forward.
We’re really proud of our new art direction and we feel that it perfectly represents Glen Affric as a brand and what we stand for: High quality, straightforward and refined. We continue to strive to be a world-class brewery and of the 6 beers in our core range, 4 of them are multi-award winning beers with 15 medals total from some of the best beer competitions in the world.
On a more personal note, I (Craig) was a professional landscape photographer in a former life, before Glen Affric Brewery started. Having shot many photographs in the greater Glen Affric area, it’s a thrill to be able to include some of my favourite images on four of our labels as part of this redesign. It gives us an even deeper tie to Glen Affric as those images used were shot within a 15 mile radius of our original GA brewing site. I’ve always held the belief that Glen Affric is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and it’s a pleasure to be able to share some of its stunning landscapes with you all.
We hope to have all these core beers fresh out in the market by the end of February. Starting today, we have fresh Highland Suntan available on our online store. Get it here!
Cheers
